Recycling Procedures

Recycle containers can be purchased from any local office supply company.  If you do not purchase the large blue recycle bins and individual recycle boxes you can designate a cardboard box to put under the desk with the word “recycle” on it.   It is the responsibility of each individual to empty personal recycle boxes into the large blue container located in a central location.  Janitorial staff is responsible for emptying the central location recycle container on a nightly basis.

General Guidelines

  • Remember that you are collecting a resource.  It is shipped to a market for re-manufacturing.
  • Store recyclable papers (see list below) from your work area in a desk-side recycling box.
  • Add no contaminates to any recycling box.
  • Periodically empty your box into your company’s recycling bins at the designated centralized storage area.
